  • Nessmuk Belt Knife

This is my interpretation of the belt knife described by George W. Sears, aka "Nessmuk", in his 1920 book titled Woodcraft and Camping. It is designed as an all purpose "user" and has the added benefit of an upswept blade excellent for skinning and butchering game. The gentle curved edge and offset handle also make it an excellent vegetable chopper. It is handmade from high carbon steel using traditional methods, then hardened and tempered as required. It has a forged finish. This is an excellent choice for everyday carry whether you are a bushcrafter or in need of big city self defense.
